Affiliate Internet Marketing - What It Really Takes To Be Successful

Do you want to learn how to become a successful affiliate marketer, but haven't been able to find that "right person" that you feel that you can trust to teach you? That's totally understandable and it's wise of you to be cautious of who you learn from. There are a lot more "snake oil" salesman on the internet than there are really successful affiliates.

However, unless you find someone to train you that's legitimate, you may have a long road in front of you and there's a good chance that you'll fail. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just pointing out the facts. 97% of all new affiliates that come into the business end up failing, and of those that do make any money, only 5% actually earn enough on a consistant basis to quit their jobs.

If you think about it this really makes a lot of sense and backs up other statistics that say 97% of the population in the United States works for the other 3%. There are only so many entreprenuerial minds out there and of those, there are only a small percentage that are willing to do whatever it takes to become successful.

Most, not all, but most successful internet marketers that I've either spoken to or read about started really making money between their third and fourth year of trying. That means that these guys and gals have spent thousands of dollars and hours before they finally "cracked the code" (as some like to call it) and started making real money. You can beat this long learning curve by becoming active in the internet marketing arena and attending reputable internet marketing seminars. Not just any seminars, but ones where there's actual learning going on and it's not just a "pitch fest" where people are trying to sell you their products.

Two good ones to look into are Ken McCarthey's System Seminar and Armond Morin's Big Seminar. Get out and meet people that are already making money doing what you want to do. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Take notes, get contact information by exchanging business cards and gradually build relationships.

You may want to buy a course or ebook on "how to do internet marketing" or "how to make money as an affiliate". You may even want to spend a bit more money by getting one on one mentoring. The bottom line is that if you want to become successful at internet marketing you need to learn what you need to know and take massive action until it happens for you. Good luck!
